Rund 70% der Bev\u00f6lkerung mangelt es an Zugang zu sicherer Sanit\u00e4rversorgung und etwa 80% des Abwassers wird unbehandelt in die Umwelt entlassen, weil die rechtlichen, politischen und finanziellen Rahmenbedingungen f\u00fcr nachhaltiges Abwassermanagement nicht gegeben sind. Die Folge ist eine schwere Verschmutzung des Grundwassers, der B\u00f6den, Wassereinzugsgebiete und letztlich des Karibischen Meers. <\/span><\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-accordion-item\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div id=\"elementor-tab-title-8022\" class=\"elementor-tab-title\" data-tab=\"2\" role=\"button\" aria-controls=\"elementor-tab-content-8022\" aria-expanded=\"false\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-accordion-icon elementor-accordion-icon-right\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-accordion-icon-closed\"><i class=\"fas fa-angle-down\"><\/i><\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-accordion-icon-opened\"><i class=\"fas fa-angle-up\"><\/i><\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a class=\"elementor-accordion-title\" tabindex=\"0\">Struktur<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<div id=\"elementor-tab-content-8022\" class=\"elementor-tab-content elementor-clearfix\" data-tab=\"2\" role=\"region\" aria-labelledby=\"elementor-tab-title-8022\"><p>GEF CReW+ ist ein von der Globalen Umweltfazilit\u00e4t (GEF) finanziertes Partnerschaftsprojekt, das von der Interamerikanischen Entwicklungsbank (IDB) und dem Umweltprogramm der Vereinten Nationen (UNEP) in 18 L\u00e4ndern der Region Mittelamerika und Karibik gemeinsam umgesetzt wird. Das Konzept wurde im November 2017 genehmigt. GEF CReW+ wurde von der Deutschen Gesellschaft f\u00fcr Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, der Organisation Amerikanischer Staaten (OAS) und dem Sekretariat des Cartagena-\u00dcbereinkommens im Namen der IDB bzw. UNEPs umgesetzt.<\/p><p>GEF CReW+ bietet L\u00f6sungen in den Bereichen Politik, Finanzierung, Technologie sowie Kommunikation und Wissensmanagement, um die Auswirkungen von unbehandeltem Abwasser auf die Umwelt und die \u00f6ffentliche Gesundheit zu verringern.<\/p><p>Sanitation for Millions setzte bis Juni 2023 Ma\u00dfnahmen in elf L\u00e4ndern des Projekts und auf regionaler Ebene um. Es wurden Empfehlungen zur Reaktivierung und Reform der Nutzung des Belize Water Revolving Fund (BWRF) zur Verbesserung der Abwasserentsorgung auf lokaler Ebene ausgesprochen. Im Rahmen des Projekts wurde auch ein detaillierter Entwurf f\u00fcr die Optimierung und Wiederverwendung von Wasser in San Antero de Cordoba geplant und ausgearbeitet. Im Rahmen des Projekts wurde eine Reihe von Veranstaltungen zum Kapazit\u00e4tsaufbau f\u00fcr innovatives, kosteng\u00fcnstiges integriertes Wasserressourcenmanagement durchgef\u00fchrt, an denen
